Persian Language Training Center
About the AZFA Center:
In the summer of 2022, the Persian Language Training Center of Urmia University (AZFA) obtained its license from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran.
The unique strategic location of West Azerbaijan Province and its proximity to the three countries of Iraq, Turkey and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the existence of scientific potentials have provided a suitable platform for non-Iranian students to study in this province and has also doubled the attractiveness of West Azarbaijan province due to the co-existence of different cultures with Turkish and Kurdish languages and its proximity to the dialects of neighboring countries.
With the aim of introducing and spreading Iranian culture and literature to international students, the Persian Language Training Center for foreign students of Urmia University has organized regular Persian language training courses. By offering Persian language courses at all levels, this center has provided an opportunity to learn Persian language for international students applying to continue their studies at Urmia University and other universities of West Azerbaijan province.

- Citizenship of a foreign country
- Lack of legal prohibition to continue studying.
- Adherence to the educational, student, and disciplinary rules of the university
Once the aforementioned conditions are met, Urmia University will fully prepare the conditions for your entry and study.
- Color scan of passport (horizontal, resolution 800x600 height) Size less than 100 KB (Passport must be valid for at least 6 months.)
- Scan of the last degree
- One 3x4 personal photo color scan (vertical, white background; jpg/jpeg format; resolution of 400 x 600 ; size is less than 500 KB)

- The course fee for all levels is 200 USD in total. (Tuition fee shall be deposited into the foreign currency account of Urmia University in the Bank Melli ( Urmia University branch) during the student's attendance at Urmia University and the receipt will be delivered to the AZFA center)
Registration Procedure:
- Send the required documents to the email address azfa@urmia.ac.ir and get approval from the Azfa center
- Refer to the website of the Student Affairs Organization in the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology at www.saorg.ir and register personal information on this site.
- Obtain a student visa from the university where the student studies.
- Make the necessary arrangements for accommodation in the dormitory (it will be done by the university after referring to the center's administrator).
Note: A placement test can be arranged, upon the candidates request.
Course completion certificate:
At the end of the level, students who have successfully completed the center's courses will be awarded a course completion certificate which is approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran.
