The sports and recreation facilities in and around Urmia University campuses provide you with access to both professional sporting and recreational activities and offer some of the best facilities and opportunities to take part in a variety of sports at social and elite levels.
Urmia University is known for its state-of-the-art sporting facilities and has built a state-of-the-art sports complex with a wealth of indoor and outdoor sporting possibilities for the benefit of students’ development and well-being. Some of the top-notch amenities of our university include 5 sports halls, 2 swimming pools, 5 fitness centers, 30 outdoor sports spaces, and 3 football fields distributed over 31966 square meters of outdoor and 10240 square meters of indoor sporting spaces.
Urmia University recognizes that different students are motivated by different things. Those who wish to compete seriously can join a sports team and represent the university in many national and international sports competitions but there are also other activities, primarily there for fun and enjoyment and as a Urmia University student, you can access everything from high-performance training venues to free recreational areas.
