The Department of Accounting is one of the departments in the faculty of Economics and Management at Urmia University in Urmia.

Undergraduate Program in Accounting has been started since 1997 and the formation of accounting department was in 2000.

We offer courses to undergraduate and graduate students as follow:

An  accounting major (Bs and Ms degrees),

A Finance major (M.s degree),

A Managerial Accounting major (M.s degree).

We also will offer a Ph.D. program in accounting soon.

Mission

The Department of Accounting aims at continuously enhancing the quality of the education through innovation in contents and methodologies both in undergraduate and  graduate programs and enriching the quality of our research environment  through research seminars, interactions with other departments and  research centers and links with professional communities.
