Faculty of Engineering The Faculty of Engineering of Urmia University was established in 1983, preliminary as a technical college. The faculty is considered one of the most prestigious, government-sponsored institutions of higher education in the region. Acceptance to the faculty is highly competitive and entrance to all undergraduate and graduate programs requires scoring among the top 25% of students in the nationwide university entrance exam.
